It's brainless. Fashion types think that it's reflecting the "zeitgeist" but it's got no political or social awareness behind it at all. Ditto this.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15959670952166969809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29373297.post-39844185136520604902010-01-23T21:27:43.978-05:002010-01-23T21:27:43.978-05:00You got that right, MimiYou got that right, MimiElizabeth Kaetonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06787552280232329081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29373297.post-18007133297068916832010-01-23T19:10:58.010-05:002010-01-23T19:10:58.010-05:00We all knew that the fashion industry was sick, si...We all knew that the fashion industry was sick, sick, sick, but this show may be evidence of a sickness unto death.June Butlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01723016934182800437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29373297.post-33688690600085494762010-01-23T13:16:33.798-05:002010-01-23T13:16:33.798-05:00Oh - what an opportunity! Perhaps we can offer to have the 300-400 folks outside our church every Sunday waiting for the noon meal to exchange their clothes for nice, new clean ones (Old Navy, Gap, or Target would suffice) and Mme Westwood can take the actual clothes of the homeless and market them?

What has our society become? Of course, society has always been this way (thinking back to time of kings while the peasants toiled below), but one would hope we'd moved farther along than this.

I do hope she will take a sizeable chunk of whatever profit she makes and donate it to help those who are homeless and hungry. I won't hold my breath on her doing it on her own, but perhaps the bad press will nudge her toward doing the right thing.Suzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03529580138314011952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29373297.post-71472121862579065182010-01-23T11:39:39.779-05:002010-01-23T11:39:39.779-05:00You are so right, Bex.
