"Finally, I suspect that it is by entering that deep place inside us where our secrets are kept that we come perhaps closer than we do anywhere else to the One who, whether we realize it or not, is of all our secrets the most telling and the most precious we have to tell." Frederick Buechner

Campbell Brown and Tucker Bounds: Cry. Me. A. Rivvah.
To those of you (and you know who you are - I don't want to embarrass you, even if you don't reveal your real identity) who want to debate Palin vs. Obama:
Well, here you go.
News flash: There is no debate.
Got it?
Good.
Let's just move along. Nothing to see here. Just move along.
(Thanks to my sistah Katie Schwartz for that title.)

ReplyDeleteAnd I had the privilege (what with being on vacation and being a news junkie and all!) of seeing this little bit of heaven LIVE ...
ReplyDeleteMy, my, my!
When I conduct media training, I often tell people that they should know what their answer is, regardless of the question. But I also remind them that the technique must be used carefully, lest you seem to be dissembling and refusing to answer legitimate questions.
ReplyDeleteI find it embarrassing that the Republican party seemed to feel that any woman who was excited for Clinton to be president will vote for any woman.
ReplyDeleteJust when women think we've managed to gain something, we find out what the men of the Republican Party really think.
eep. When Talking heads don't even have an answer, you know there were bad choices...
"Command military experience, which both of our candidates have"
ReplyDeleteI am sorry. Being here in Mexico we are out of the loop a lot. What situations have come up in Alaska over the last year that gave Palin command experience with the Alaska National Guard?
There were no hurricanes, no earthquakes or volcanic eruptions threatening Alaskan's life & limb.
I know that she has all this Foreign Policy experience because Alaska shares a maritime border with Russia, but did they recently send troops into Kodiak or something?
What an ASS!
(Forgive me Mother, for I have sinned.)
I've always liked Campbell and she really seemed to be enjoying the interview and sticking the knife into Tucker and twisting it.
ReplyDeleteI sent WoW an e-mail and suggested that they have Campbell and Rachel Maddow, who's getting her own show on MSNBC, "stop by," as they say on that website.
