"Finally, I suspect that it is by entering that deep place inside us where our secrets are kept that we come perhaps closer than we do anywhere else to the One who, whether we realize it or not, is of all our secrets the most telling and the most precious we have to tell." Frederick Buechner

I will express myself with civility, courtesy, and respect for every member of this online community, especially toward those with whom I disagree—even if I feel disrespected by them. (Romans 12:17-21)
I will express my disagreements with other community members' ideas without insulting, mocking, or slandering them personally. (Matthew 5:22)
I will not exaggerate others' beliefs nor make unfounded prejudicial assumptions based on labels, categories, or stereotypes. I will always extend the benefit of the doubt. (Ephesians 4:29)

According to Snopes.com this is an photo from Palin's website that was altered (photoshopped). In the original one, which Snopes shows, little Piper was holding up 2 fingers.
ReplyDeleteDamn, it would have been a great one to send out!
I love it enough to post it here, even if it IS photoshopped. If it were true, I might even give me hope for Ms. Palin.
ReplyDeleteI wish Palin didn't hate women. I agree with you, EK, if her daughter really did gesture f'u, it would've given a girl hope.
ReplyDeleteThe kid does have quite the scowl. It makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteA good look at the photo will reveal the finger in question is an index finger.
ReplyDeleteMother Elizabeth, what is it about Sarah P that raises the hackles of so many? Could it be that she is, and has achieved what so many femenist's have failed to attain?
Just some grist for the mill...

Andy,
ReplyDeleteYou mean selling out ones own for a bit of glamour?
What feminist is trying for that?
Andy - I think the most succinct way to say it is this:
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin is to feminism what Clarence Thomas is to Civil Rights.
Enough said. Enough energy wasted on Mrs. Palin.
