"Finally, I suspect that it is by entering that deep place inside us where our secrets are kept that we come perhaps closer than we do anywhere else to the One who, whether we realize it or not, is of all our secrets the most telling and the most precious we have to tell." Frederick Buechner

I have sand in my toes!
Friday is my day off.
It was 77 degrees.
I went to the beach.
What else was I supposed to do?
You know, I can think so much better with sand in my toes.
BTW, this is as naked as I get in front of the camera.
Consider it my Blog 'Centerfold'.
Besides, it wasn't THAT warm at the beach. Even the sand has not yet warmed up.
It was lovely - several people were actually IN the water. Brrrr. . . It's not exactly bathing suit weather. Yet.
Even then. No pictures.
Except, perhaps, for my half naked foot.

Hope your time here was relaxing. You picked just the right day for the beach. I was awakened at about 2 am with a very bright, full moon smiling through my window over the marshes. I noted that its presence signaled what everyone here has been praying for - clear skies - and though the morning was a bit muggy, by mid moring the winds blew all that away and the doors were opened at Dos Locos. Everyone was in a grand mood. Good lunch crowd.
ReplyDeleteSafe trip back to NJ.
You remind me here in the Rockies of how I need a sand and salt water "fix". Will have to wait until a Sept trip to house sit for my sister but I am already sniffing for the wonderful salt air.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a rough coupla weeks and I really, really needed time alone to decompress. Other than walking the beach, I stayed at home. I hope to get back June 25the - 27th and I hope to catch up with you then. No fish and chips for me for a while, but we'll have lots of options, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteHey, susankay - Sept. is way, way far off. Hope you get some time away before then.
ReplyDeleteAaaahhhh.... the beach. And what a lovely foot. You need not show us more, but do keep going to the beach! (as if you need me to tell you this!!)
ReplyDeleteThere is no reason to apologize to me, sister dear. Decompression is a good thing and best done alone with the self.
ReplyDeleteChecking out a few new places so facing traffic downtown won't have to be an option. So, stay tuned and take care of yourself.
Love hearing from you, darlin'. I'm thinking that Dos Locos must have a great salad with maybe a piece of broiled fish or chicken. We'll figure something out.
ReplyDeleteMuch love.
