They're heeeerrrreee!

I'm remembering that it was 'gonzo journalist' Dr. Hunter S. Thompson who said,

"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Exhibit A.

Compare and contrast messages and then you tell me.

By the way, these are just some 'local boys'. They tell me they are members of a local 'non-denominational evangelical church' who have 'friends' here.

Yeah, I'll just bet they do.

I'm thinkin', well, everyone has friends in 'low places'.

Well, and I figure, that's what they think of me.

Let the good times roll!

  1. Beautiful. Beautiful are the feet of them who bring *good* news. As opposed to these guys - who, after all, have been touched by Jesus, so...i'm glad they're there, all-in-all. "How long, O Lord, how long?"

i'm going to risk praying a deliverance for the hate-filled in Anaheim. i think my neighbor Tabernacle of Deliverance and Praise buddies would agree.

thanks for letting us know that they showed up, E. Let the *good* times roll!

    blessings...

  2. I remember the locals who came out with signs to protest in Atlanta during the Justice is Orthodox Theology conference. A woman pulled up next to us in front of All Saints in her car and said to us, "I don't know what you're doing in there, but keep it up."

  3. I think these are the same guys who demonstrated at the masses celebrated by Pope Benedict when he visited the U.S. There's a Youtube video of them shouting abuse while people are trying to sing the Sanctus.

Nice to be in good company, isn't it?

  4. At that same conference in Atlanta, a group of us were waiting to cross the street while the pickets shouted at us. The total stereotype pick up truck pulled up and a young lady with the stereotype big hair leaned out of the window and I sort of braced myself for another scream. She saluted the pickets (single finger) and screamed "Asshole bigots!" She immediately became my hero.

    FWIW
