You Ain'it Seen Nothin' Yet

So, I was talking with my daughter, the Political Science Major, who works with TONS of lawyers at a prestigious law school in NYC, about the election.

She asked, an unmistakable note of excitement in her voice, "Did you hear Hillary's victory speech, Mom?"

"Yes, I did," I responded, "And I heard her say that 'the center had held.'"

"Odd, don't you think?" I asked.

"No way," Mom, said my daughter. "I think she's going to make it?

"Make it?" I asked. "What do you mean?"

"I mean," said my brilliant daughter, "that I think Hillary has a real shot at the Presidency."

"You do?" I asked, thinking I'd never see a woman as President of the United States in my lifetime. Then again, I never thought I'd live to see a woman as Presiding Bishop. Or, as Speaker of the House.

"Oh," she said with great confidence, "I most certainly do."

"So, did you hear the song her staff played as she walked out of the room?"

"No," I said, "I didn't."

It was BTO's "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet."

Here are the lyrics.

I think, by Jove, my daughter may be onto something.

Artist: Bachman Turner Overdrive Lyrics
Song: You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet Lyrics

I met a devil woman, she took my heart away
She said I had it comin' to me, but I wanted it that way
I think that any love is good lovin'
And so I took what I could get, mmm
Oooh, oooh, she looked at me with big brown eyes
And said

You ain't seen nothin' yet
B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen nothin' yet
Here's something that you never gonna forget
B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen nothin' yet

And now I'm feelin' better, 'cause I found out for sure
She took me to her doctor and he told me of a cure
He said that any love is good love
So I took what I could get, yes, I took what I could get
Oooh, and she looked at me with big brown eyes
And said

You ain't seen nothin' yet
B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen nothin' yet
Here's something, here's something that you're never gonna forget
B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen nothin' yet
You need educated

[break]

Any love is good love
So I took what I could get, yes, I took what I could get
And then, and then, and then she looked at me with big brown eyes
And said

You ain't seen nothin' yet
Baby, you just ain't seen nothin' yet
Here's something, here's something,
here's something, mama, you're never gonna forget
B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen nu-nu-nu-nothin' yet
You ain't been around

You ain't seen nothin' yet
I know I ain't seen nothin' yet
I know I ain't seen nothin' yet
Baby, Baby, Baby
You ain't seen nothin' yet
