Come in! Come in!

"If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer; if you're a pretender, come sit by my fire. For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!" -- Shel Silverstein

Welcome Abigael Sophia Durbin

Rejoice with me!

Today, at 1:40 PM, Abigael Sophia Durbin came into the world, the second daughter of our daughter Karen, and her husband Chuck, and sister of the other most beautiful granddaughter in the entire universe, MacKenna Jane Durbin - fourth in line to her cousins, the heartbreakingly handsome Maxx Alan (age 6) and the other most beautiful granddaughter in the entire universe, Melina Marie (age 16 months) Hadad.

She weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces and is 21 inches long.

She has blond hair and blue eyes, like her mother and sister.

MacKenna Jane (just turned 5 years old) said, "Oh, Nana (that would be me), she is the prettiest sister I could never have asked for. Please thank God for me, will you? I'm so, so happy."

And, so I have.

And, so we are, as well.

Abigael (Gaelic meaning, "Her father's heart.")

Sophia (for her maternal great grandmother on her grandfather's side.)

Durbin (her father's Irish heritage - her mother is Conroy-Hadad as in Irish and Lebanese - don't even go there).

Shield the joyous!

Pictures (enough to make you wish you never knew about this blog) to follow.

Oh, and WOO HOO!
