Come in! Come in!

"If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer; if you're a pretender, come sit by my fire. For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!" -- Shel Silverstein

Hey, that reminds me of my "4 hours of fame" (I did better than Andy Warhol's quote.) When I was in college, I drove Vincent Price from the Kansas City airport to Kirksville, once. He was a frequent visitor to Truman State University and actually left a large sum of money for scholarships here. I found him to be just as witty as the Hollywood Squares quotes, and very fun to chat with, as he grew up in St. Louis and at the time still had nieces and nephews there. But my, how that man chain-smoked! He didn't quite light "one off the other," but it was close!

I laughed until I was almost sick. I have never heard any of these before.

I had forgotten how clever and funny Vincent Price was!

I do miss a time when comedy was witty, even when it was "working blue."

Mark- Me, too. Whoever it was who said 'Brevity is the soul of wit 'was absolutely right.
