Heading out in this miserable sleety-rain for the airport to catch my flight - if it hasn't been delayed - to Chi-town for a gathering of The Consultation.
The Consultation meeting is followed by a gathering of the Episcopal Urban Caucus - which I will miss most of as I head from Chi-town to Nashville for a meeting of the Episcopal Women's Caucus.
It's simply a whirl.
The Lenten Series is off to a great start. I brought my notes so I can blog about it on the plane. Look for something later this afternoon.
I'm not a big fan of air travel (I lurve me some trains, though) but I hate flying in this kind of weather.
I get on the plane and all I can see is Patsy Cline singing "Crazy."
Send a a few prayers my way, wudja? Much obliged.

Prayers!?! Many, many prayers! You will be carried to Chicago on the wings of angels, safely and smoothly.
And to do such good work.
Prayers ascending, Elizabeth. You and I share a distaste for flying and a love for trains!
Traveling mercies,
Doxy
May everything be on time, in it's place, and the way it's supposed to be.
Welcome to Chicago! There is snow on the ground and a few snowflakes but otherwise its a pretty nice Chicago winter day. If the consultation is at Seabury and having a public eucharist let us know. I'm just about a mile or so south of you here in Rogers Park. Anyway have a great time here and do try to make your next visit in a summer month!
I {{{{heart}}}} me some train travel, too. Romantic, relaxing and more fun.
Miserable rain here, too...but it's warm enough to continue to melt the ever-large snow banks. So that's something positive, anyway.
Safe trip dawlin' and blog away.
Prayers are winging to you.
Thanks, lovies. I left Newark 20 minutes late and arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule. Musta been all your prayers.
How does that work? I don't get it. Somewhere in the cosmos, some poor soul is wandering around dazed and feeling like s/he's been hit over the head by the collision of a simultaneous 20 minute delay and early arrival. Hey, do you suppose that's the real source of migraine headaches? We might be onto a cure. ;~)
It's already snowing here! Sheesh!
Off to my first meeting in 30 minutes. Thanks again for your prayers.
I prayed this morning, but neglected to post. I was just checking back for an update. Glad you arrived safely. Blessings on your good work!
The timing? That's easy. The Jetstream paused to let you through....
I too am fond of trains.
