Come in! Come in!

"If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer; if you're a pretender, come sit by my fire. For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!" -- Shel Silverstein

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

The grandchildren came for the weekend.

What? You didn't expect pictures?

Here's Ms. Abby, now nine months old. She's a veritable leprechaun. Just non stop mischief when she's not being naturally curious and very physical. I'm thinking we have an athlete in the making here.

What pure delight!

And, here's Ms. Mackie - now "five and three quarters" years old.

And, a Princess. Of course.

She couldn't be more completely opposite in temperament from her sister. She's as bright as you please and very much into make-believe and let's pretend. What a joy to watch her imagination and creativity! How even more wonderful to be invited to participate in it with her!

Can you tell we had a FABULOUS weekend?

The Grayson Perry look is so in this year.

I'm so glad you're back from vacation, Maddy, I'm even going to inhibit myself from asking what a nice hetro man like you knows from the Grayson Perry look, much less how you know what is "so in year."

Aren't grand kids the best? I like the frock too, and I am a hetro guy too. ;-)

My elder grandbaby is now 3, and she is 40 inches tall! She is well on her way to being a 6' tall young lady.

Jamie is the lead photo on my blog this week. She adopted the "virgin Mary" fashion with a blanket I crocheted for her. Hmmm... Another item that makes some of us hetro males suspect?

No, Jim, not all hetero males. Just Maddy.

BTW, Jamie is a beauty.

Grandbabies are the BEST.

Simply GORGEOUS!

Mackie reminds me so much of my Jenna. Jenna knows the power of the princess dress, too.

Of course, she often belches while wearing hers, which creates a terrible dissonance. I'm sure your little princess doesn't do that sort of thing!
