Come in! Come in!

Muslims are at war with each other both in Iraq and Afghanistan. Every U.S. or NATO soldier killed is a waste of human life. George W, trying to outdo Daddy 41, broke the china and now owns it, fool that he is. Now he is in total denial, as are U.S. conservatives.

Any war in the Middle East is lost unless Muslim can see the way to live in peace with each other, which, sadly, won't happen in the near future.

What better reason to pray the Holy Innocents service than this?
Dec 28th is Holy Innocents Day. I have asked twice over the last 20 years for this service at the Episcopal churches I attended at the time. Once I was told to do on my own, and I did and have ever since. Most recently I was told it was too much for clergy to do along with all the Christmas services. Excuse me but lets not fall into the myth of "Merry Christmas". It may be that we as Christians need to be more vocal about the true meaning of Christmas, in short that with the gift comes the discipline to bring everything to God , even our Sorrow in Death. What if the Episcopal Clergy currently engaged in a spitting contest over who knows God's covenant best; take a break and offer the Holy Innocents Service? After sorrow is shared, the light of Christ shines.
