Come in! Come in!

"If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer; if you're a pretender, come sit by my fire. For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!" -- Shel Silverstein

A Most Merry Christmas

If you can't be with the ones you love on Christmas Morning,
you can still"spend the day in pictures."
You are welcome to enjoy these with me.

Our Grandbeauties awake to find that Santa has, in fact, come, as promised.

Pandemonium reigns supreme!

Giggling, squiggling girl alert immediately issued.
No one is safe for at least the next 15 minutes!

Okay, where to begin? Where to begin?

BARBIES!!!  Woo hoo!

Dr. Silly and her Assistant Nurse Sillier.

A Christmas Stocking stuffed with all kindsa stuff is the best!

The child has this 'thing' for bunnies.  No, seriously.
Last year she got an actual, live 'bunny' for Christmas.
She wanted a white bunny with blue eyes named Clara.
She got everything she wanted, except, after they got home from the Vet -
Oops! - it was 'Clarence'.
Who is still alive and well and a happy part of the family.

Love my Lady Bug boots.

Now I seriously can't wait until our own "Little Christmas" the weekend of The Epiphany.  The house will be crowded with little ones and their parents.  It will be Christmas pandemonium all over again.

Which is exactly as it should be, don't you think?

You can feel the excitement and joy from these photos!! What gorgeous girls - of course they come from good stock!!

Love to you and yours!

Both their parents are gorgeous. Actually, Mackie looks so much like her mother when she was that age, it's amazing. And, her mother looks so much like Ms. Conroy's mother it's amazing. Ms. Conroy, however, looks just like her dad. Go figure! It doesn't matter to me. I just get to enjoy the ultimate results of a really great gene pool. And, I do. Trust me on this.

Gene pools are one thing but the enormity of their joy and shining hearts, that transcends the DNA and is a matter of the heart that they are raised with!

Thanks, Fran. I think our Grandbeauties - all five of them, at this point - know how much they are loved by their parents, their Grammy and their Nana. I agree with you, Fran, that this it what makes all the difference.

Dr. Silly has that "stethoscope around the neck" thing down pat! She already looks uber-professional!

Well, she has one VaVoa who is a doctor and one Grammy who is a nurse, and a Nana who is a former nurse become priest. Learned behavior.

Oh, I know she came by it naturally...it shows!

What wonderful photos! and what a wonderful family! It definitely looks like a special morning for the memory book.

But you don't need wee ones to have "Christmas pandemonium." I was so lucky this year, I traveled with my own nuclear family to have Christmas with my own nuclear family. My parents, praise God, were back from their extended celebratory vacation for their 60th wedding anniversary. My sister and brother were there with their own whole families. So many of us, we had to sit at two tables, the "20-30-somethings" and the "old fogies" (each table named the other table).

Anyway, we lined up for the buffet and my brother, just in front of me, said sotto voice "let the wild rumpus begin."

Right behind him I said, in a louder ringing speaking voice, "Let the wild rumpus begin!"

And my sister, way down at the very end of the line, starts her eyes sparkling the way they do and yells out in her best cheer-leading way: "LET THE WILD RUMPUS BEGIN!"

The middle of the line (all the 20-30-somethings) roll their eyes in perfect synchronization, and one of them says "My goodness, we REALLY can't take them anywhere."
