Come in! Come in!

"If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer; if you're a pretender, come sit by my fire. For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!" -- Shel Silverstein

An Ordination in the House!

Michael Sniffen was ordained to the transitional diaconate today at Grace Episcopal Church in Madison, NJ.

Woo hoo!

Whereupon a partee up in SoufhOrange immediately commenced.

Neon Pink "Answer-Me" Jesus was even in da house.

(And the very handsome young man who is a self-professed Southern Baptist - well, at least for now - who decorated this cake at Carvel will never be the same. We left him a $5 tip and another one to check out St. Andrew and Holy Communion Episcopal Church in SoufhOrange where Rev. Sandye totally rocks the house.)

Let me hear you say, "Yeah!"

If that grinning face is the new deacon, he's a heart stopper!

Sorry boys and girls, he's already taken.

Will you think I'm really anal if I note that Mr. Handsome Southern Baptist appears to have misspelled Michael's name on the cake?

He IS totally a cutie-patootie ... you were right!

Yes, my man at Carvel did misspell Michael's name, but he was such a cutie that we let it slide and still gave him a $5 tip.

He kept saying, "You really want me to put this on a cake? You really want it to say, "Michael and Jesus - Together 4 Ever?"

"Yes," we said.

"Get out!" he said.

"Just write it," we said.

"You guys are way cool," he said, smiling broadly and shaking his head.

"Yes," we said, "it's just how we do evangelism."

That, and ordaining cutie-patootie priests - male and female.

Maybe it's just my own sin of pride, but I do think we have some of the best looking clerics on this side of Western Christendom, don't you?

Yeah, Michael!! Can you imagine how he would blush if he read the above posts? That makes me giggle. :-)

No Rachel, he wouldn't blush. We've been telling him that for a long time. I met him a few times at evening prayer and he is even more cute (if that's possible) in person. You can also add impish and funny. But then the prayers begin and you see his serious side. What's not to like.

I, personally, think Jesus looks pretty good.

Oh, Emmy, you gotta get out more, girl.
