Come in! Come in!

"If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer; if you're a pretender, come sit by my fire. For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!" -- Shel Silverstein

Allergies!

Mine are absolutely raging. My head feels like it is stuffed with cotton. My nose is dripping like a faucet. If I'm not careful, I just might scratch out my eyes.

I can't imagine what I would feel like without my allergy medicine.

Carry on, and pass the tissues, please.

I share your pain! They are really bad this year. Most people I know have been suffering.

Feel better. Thanks be to God for Claritin.

Benadryl is my friend during tree pollen season.

Great photo for an unhappy state of being. May it pass quickly. Just don't come to Vermont now because you'd have to relive it all. Glad you didn't have to defend your dissertation during allergy season; it might have been quite interesting.

Here's a tissue, no, a wad of tissues, and a prayer for the easing of the allergies and a clear head.

Oh, good grief!! I've been blowing my nose and blowing my nose, and I look like a cocaine addict. Allergy season. Claritin. On the double.

Elizabeth, I'm sorry about your pain, and grateful you reminded me I can do something about mine.

I want to remove my eyes, rub them on sandpaper and put them back.

This year has been a little better for me though. I'm doing two things differently: high doses of vitamin C (read a study) and accupuncture! Go figure.

Awesome illustration.

I thank God daily for Allegra. And also for the beauty of the Colorado Mountain Cedar trees, please lord, remind me again how beautiful they are while I try to will my eyeballs to stay in my head.

Pollen (at least the kind that bothers me) is still high in Texas, so you've probably got a few more weeks of cottonhead to go. Is Claritin that great? I've only been on Benedryl (that puts me to sleep 3x the length of listed relief), Sonata (the precursor to Allegra but with decongestant in it) and Allegra plus decongestants. In my case, Sudafed rules.

Zyrtec D. It's as helpful as any I've tried and, like Claritan, is now avaialble without a perscription.

I also used to use FLONASE which is now available over the counter as "Four-Ways Nasal Spray." Just as good as the prescription brand.

Patenol eye drops are the best - only by prescription and, even with my pharmacy benefit, $80 for a teeny-tiny bottle. Even so, I'm still red and itchy.

I really think this has become a bronchitis, however, so I'm seeing my doc today before I get into trouble.

It's a beautiful spring day in the neighborhood. I want to enjoy it.
