Come in! Come in!

"If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer; if you're a pretender, come sit by my fire. For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!" -- Shel Silverstein

Integrity Triennial Eucharist

One word: FABULOUS!

Mostly because of an AMAZING liturgy and even more amazing sermon by Bishop Barbara Harris. Here's the quote of the night - if not the decade.

"Don't initiate us into the church and then PRETEND we've only had a half-assed baptism." - The Rt Rev Barbara Harris

Oh, and when all the LGBT clergy "came up" (because we had already come out) to join Bishop Gene on the stage, well, I swear, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Episcopal Life Online has already posted this story.

Hmm . . . I didn't see any of the folks from Stand Firm or T19 or Baby Blue Cafe, so I wouldn't bother going over there to check on a story from that crowd.

I'm thoroughly exhausted from the day, but I'll just post this picture.

Yup, that's Grandmere Mimi, It's Margaret! and moi.

Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.

An Episcopalian equivalent of those May Day, Kremlin Wall line-ups.

Elizabeth+, Thank you again for signing my BCP before the Integrity Eucharist. It was a pleasure and thrilling to meet you in person and I will be praying for you continually. Yours, Mark W., Diocese of Los Angeles

There's nothing wrong with that picture that my presence couldn't have fixed.
