Come in! Come in!

"If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer; if you're a pretender, come sit by my fire. For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!" -- Shel Silverstein

Warning: Nana With Pictures

Just got this text message from Abigayle's mother. Abby insisted on wearing a bathing suit to Day Care today. MacKenna said she should because it's Halloween and she's going to school as Tinkerbell.
Abby puts the 'treat' in Trick or Treat!

oh no! It's too cute! I have to avert my eyes!

And...she's huge! When did she get so big! Last time I saw her she was a tiny little thing...

15 months old. Isn't it amazing how fast they grow? And, how independent they get in so short a time?

She also INSISTED that Mary Jane's were the ONLY shoes to wear with her Pirates of the Carribean shirt (which you can just barely see under the bathing suit).

For my part, I've got my running shoes on.

That is a great photo!
I am a strong believer in letting little one's dress in the manner they chose. My eldest dressed like a cat for two weeks when she was three. My mother said I was indulging the child too much, but she's fine now.
And I agree with her about the Mary Jane's and the Pirates of the Carribean shirt; the entire cast wears Mary Janes when they aren't wearing pirate boots.

I definitely would advise against telling her that she is WRONG and that she SHOULD wear something else. That only leads to larger therapy bills later on.

Just made some biscuits and warmed some seafood chowder! I'm a happy girl!

Ms. Conroy and I sat on the steps, she eating her warmed seafood chowder out of her favorite mug and I eating the last of the l/o chicken piccata while tossing salt water taffy to the Trick or Treaters.

There are THOUSANDS this year - beautiful little princesses and TONS of Darth Vaders and Knights in Shining Armor.

There are lots of male and female skeletons, too.

What a GREAT celebration, although at 7:30 Ms. Conroy pulled herself up and declared "Enough!"

She then turned off the lights, locked the door, and headed for the basement family room with her lap top and both dogs.

Let us do give pause for a little prayer for all the Baptist and Evangelical kids who are sitting in darkened homes this night, their hearts breaking every time the door bell rings.

That is so something Jenna would do. She'd do it now, if she thought she could get away with it!
