About 8 years ago, I took my mother (then about 92) for her flu shot (usually my sister did this). Decided to get one myself and have had the shot each year since and no more flu (use to suffer at least every 2nd year). Next year I will be 65 and so it will be free - yea. So will the pneumonia shot so may add that. Highly recommended.
